Last weekend saw nearly 2000 festive shoppers flock to the doors of Beaumanor Hall to get into the Christmas swing and celebrate our annual Winter Fair.

Hosting over fifty food and drink stalls, the fair certainly had something for everyone – not to mention Father Christmas making a grand entrance down our iconic stairwell.

At 11:30am on the Friday morning of the fair, the Beaumanor team waited with bated breath. Although extremely excited, we were dubious. ”How many people would turn up?” ”Would people enjoy themselves?”

Armed with a (not so sharp) pair of scissors, Councillor Janice Richards declared the Fair officially open, and with that our festive customers just did not stop coming – our beautiful hall was buzzing with customers!

With a team of festive elves on board, the weekend ran as smooth as can be. Not to mention the amazing work put in by the Melton Mowbray Air Cadets who braved the cold to ensure the car park was in good order.

So, this is a blog to once again say ”thank you”. Thank you to our lovely stall holders, without you we wouldn’t have had a fair. Thank you to our staff, elves and cadets for keeping everything in check and last but not least – thank you to our great customers – you all brought your festive cheer and made the Fair as Christmassy as can be.

From all of the Beaumanor team – we would like to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We hope to see you all in 2018.
